Attention Full Sail University Students!

Our meeting for Officers only went fantastic. We were able to meet several online students and discuss ideas for ways for our group to raise money to pay for future events on behalf of the students. We have a lot of great ideas and need your help with voting. I built a survey so we can see what the most popular event is. After all, it's about what YOU want and our job to bring it to you!

Open Mic Night – Networking Session

Video Streaming Live Performances

Last month we were able to record a live performance of Carly Jo Jackson. We're a new group and learning by doing has given us much experience. There are two main issues I have learned about, the first being that the sound levels were too high and has distorted the sound quality. The second thing I learned was the importance of recording the audience just as much as the performer. The Sleeping Moon Cafe was packed and the crowd loved Carly Jo. The audience at home would love to see the entire venue to feel a part of the experience.

In researching how musicians are using Google+ Hangout to interact with their audience, I came across an article that talked about Google's new toy called Google+ Hangouts Studio Mode. Read the full article here. Moving forward, the Creative Student Networking group will be using Google+ Hangout to stream live performances. We'll have the audience at home and at the cafe join in. The audience can interact online and in person.

Networking Session Review

The networking session went fantastic! We filled Sleeping Moon Cafe up with people and the amazing music of Carly Jo Jackson! We had a great time networking, yummy food and beverages, and a drawing for amazing door prizes like a Full Sail backpack and a hotel getaway to Cancun. All prizes were donations.

Full Sail U – Leadership Team Recruitment Event

Mark your calendars for 8-13-12 for the Leadership Team Recruitment Event. Alumni and other college students welcome to join in an online communication capacity. We need community help!

Students: Do you like event planning, group traveling, networking, and music? Join the CSN group to be behind the scenes for our events. Events like a group trips to local entertainment in Orlando.

Already in a club? Want to join forces to make it a joint group event?

Business Owners in Central Florida area: Would you like to become a sponsor for this group? We're looking for companies with a target market for college students who would like to donate SWAG and/or discounts/coupons for our members.
